Toby is a 1 year old long haired Chihuahua. He's a very handsome chocolate brown with white highlights. Toby weighs about 9 1/2 lbs. He's a very sweet boy who loves to cuddle.
When Toby first arrived, he was a little hesitant of being handled. For a small breed dog, especially chihuahuas, this is not uncommon. They have to realized they are save and not going to be harmed. But he , apparently, has not been socialized with many people. So, his ideal home would allow him to continue working on that.
Toby is doing great in his foster home with his teenage children and their parents. We don't recommend Toby around toddlers (and we do not adopt to home with children under 5 years of age anyway).
This sweet boy would love another dog to play with and a fully, physically fenced yard.
He also needs someone willing to continue positively reinforcing his great potty behavior.

All Dogs Unlimited Rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on all shots, and are given a monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Upon adoption, all vet records and any current medications are provided to the adopter.
THE SUBMISSION OF YOUR APPLICATION DOES NOT GUARANTEE AN ADOPTION NOR DOES IT OBLIGATE YOU TO ADOPT. Multiple applications are accepted for any available pet and a home is chosen that is the best match between the available pet and the potential furever family. Your application will be processed as quickly as possible and if approved, a home visit would be scheduled. No adoption is final until an Adoption Agreement is presented and agreed to by both parties.
