Facts about Penny

  • Breed: Pit Bull Terrier Mix
  • Color: Silver & Tan (Yorkie Colors)
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Female
Penny is a sweet and silly girl who is playful, people friendly, great on a leash, housebroken, and has so much love to give. Penny loves running zoomies around the yard and is a great walking companion. She loves to snuggle and play, and does well with most non-dominant dogs. Penny was seized from an abusive situation, but she easily passed ASPCA's temperament evaluation because she is a lover at heart. Penny's early life made her prone to over-stimulation, so she needs a home with no children or small animals. Her ideal gig would be as an only dog, where she could shine as a loving and devoted companion. Penny is eligible for foster-to-adopt.

About Underdograilway Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Underdograilway Rescue does not have a shelter facility. All animals are cared for in volunteer foster homes. Animals may be viewed at adoption events, or by appointment. A completed adoption application is required for non-event appointments.

Underdograilway Rescue pulls deserving, adoptable animals from kill shelters primarily in the Chicago area.

Foster homes and other volunteers are always welcome!

Our Adoption Process...

Standard adoption fee is $240. Process involves an application, reference check, and home visit, which generally is completed within a week. In some cases, potential adopters may take animals home from adoption events after signing a foster to adopt agreement/waiver and providing photo ID. A home visit will then occur within the next 1-2 weeks, at which time the adoption may be finalized.

All adoption fees are payable in cash and support the further activities of the rescue, which include veterinary care, food and supplies, and promotional and administrative expenses.
