Cayman's Story...
Cayman is a 5 mo. old kitten. Cayman is from a litter of kittens from a feral momma near the Arkansas Children’s Hospital campus. He is 5 months old and one of the most beautiful Grey/White tabby cats his foster momma has seen. Cayman has actually stolen the heart of his foster-mom and babysitter and is now a very sweet and handsome lap cat that will curl up his paws on you or the closest big cushy pillow! He has learned to snuggle in his foster momma’s arms and is totally relaxed – He may actually have good potential to be a therapy cat! He will high-5 with you and loves to play with sparkly toys. He uses his paws to expertly grab your hands to pet him. Cayman would get along with other kittens/cats with a proper introduction and has proven be a great big brother! He has a big belly has dk. grey dots on it and actually enjoys a good belly rub! He has very subtle stripes on his hips. White belly with dark grey dots. He like tummy kisses too! He grooms himself and will assist his sisters in grooming too. Cayman runs to great his foster mom when she arrives home and he loves a nice high perch. (We think he would be a great TV companion for football season and hang on the couch all day!) He and his sister Kona would be a great pair if you are looking for 2! Cayman has a big tummy and let me rub it the whole time he was at the vet! He started out a bit wild, but came around to be the best cuddler and will grab your hand w both paws and pull it to him. Cayman is over 7 lbs.

He has been tested for FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus) & FeLV (feline leukemia virus) & found to be negative, and is already neutered.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cayman, a East Hartford Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in East Hartford, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in East Hartford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in East Hartford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a East Hartford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in East Hartford paves the way for another one to be saved.
