George's Story...
He’s got cracked eyes and will crack you up!

George was a dog defeated. He was hairless, starving, and just looking for a car to curl up under. At Friends for Life he was transformed into a different dog! Full of life and curiosity, he enjoys playing with other dogs, especially at the dog park! He loves giving kisses to kitty friends, letting small children play with him and most of all, his person! He will be the perfect sidekick to your life. He can go with you anywhere and make your experience that much more enjoyable.

Yeah, Yeah, that sounds basic right? So what is the thing that will make George stand out to you? He is a total comic! If he was a human he would be Bo Burnham. He’s got that awkward humor that will leave you in stitches. For example, his favorite toy is a knit blanket that he likes to wrap himself up in and trip around the house throwing his head back and forth, having a good ol’ time all by himself.

So if you open your heart and home to this sweet boy you will not only have a dog that you can bring with you pretty much everywhere, you can be sure to never spend another boring night at home. So come meet him today and find out why we are in stiches over this silly britches!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

George, a Houston Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Houston, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
