Tortellini's Story...
Everybody loves comfort food. You know, a traditional food that provides a nostalgic or sentimental feeling to the consumer. Goodness, could I ever use some comfort! Someone patient and kind to help me feel safe and secure. A gentle family with other dogs, cats, or respectful children 10+ that can give me the stability, love, and guidance I need to come out of my [pasta] shell. I’m a little al dente at the moment, but give me a little time to boil and season me with some more training and I’ll be the best little Tortellini you’ve ever had! So, what’s your favorite comfort food? 1 year old-10lbs. My adoption fee is $220 and includes microchip & registration, spay, reduced-cost training class, 1 month pet health insurance, free veterinary exam, leash/collar, toy & treat packet, food sample.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tortellini, a Portland Dachshund/Pomeranian dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Pomeranian for sale in Portland, or seeking a Dachshund/Pomeranian dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Pomeranian breeders who help with Dachshund/Pomeranian rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
