My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This little guy was out of time at Nueces County, a very high kill shelter. But it was his lucky day because a nice lady drove him all the way up to us! It was not his lucky day when his owner, who had surrendered him to the shelter named him Numbnuts the 3rd. Yes, we are serious. Yes, he answers to it. We are grudgingly going to keep his name so as not to stress him out more and to let his new adopters come up with something a little more deserving. So...Numbnuts..is a 1-2 year old, 12 pound, SWEETHEART of a dog. Not sure what he is but could be Corgi, Chihuahua, or weenie (which would be quite fitting). He is timid right now and crawls to you for loving. He is good with the kids, good with dogs and is not possession aggressive. He really is the perfect little family dog. If you pick him up, he cuddles. We are working with him on his house training. We are using disposable belly bands so you don't get pee pee in your house and he wears them fine and is already learning. Numbnuts the 3rd has been vaccinated, wormed and treated for fleas. He is HW-. He has a following appointment to be neutered (there goes his name) and chipped. He requires a home with a fenced yard, where he will be inside and one where he will not be alone during the day. One by One Pet Rescue is a Flower Mound based non-profit rescue. Adoption fee applies.
