Teddy's Story...
Teddy is a pure bred Newfoundland pup. He is 1 year and 10 months old and just a big gentle giant. His previous owner reports that he does well with other dogs and has been living with a five year old child and does excellent with kids. He is reported to be house and leash trained and just wants to be close to his humans. He will need to be neutered and brought current on his shots, but Teddy is currently accepting applications for his new perfect forever home. Please stop in at the rescue 7 days a week between 11-4 to meet Teddy the big bear of a dog.
If you want to apply for Teddy click here. You can then email the application to the Meridian Valley Humane Society. Applications are now being accepted, and a visitation with the dog is encouraged. All applications will be considered and the adoption coordinator will call the person chosen to adopt the dog after the available date.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Teddy, a Meridian Newfoundland dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Newfoundland for sale in Meridian, or seeking a Newfoundland dog from a breeder in Meridian.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Meridian already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Meridian breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Newfoundland breeders who help with Newfoundland rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Meridian paves the way for another one to be saved.
