Hi! My name Fudge. I'm about 4-5 years old and weigh 15 pounds. People say I'm very handsome; a beautiful chestnut red colour with a black wash. I used to live with a family, but they moved away to someplace that didn't allow doggies. Why didn't they move somewhere where I could live with them? If really hurt my feelings and I was very depressed and scared for awhile. The nice folks at Adorable Dog Rescue have taken me in and they tell me every day that someone will come to love me. Could you be my someone? I just want a warm lap to sit in again. Is your lap available for me?" My wish list is to go for walks once or twice a day, and get lots of attention all day long! I really like that! Right now, I live with other doggies (in a foster home), who are also looking for new homes. We all get along. We play a little with each other. My foster mama says I'm beta (not alpha), and that I'm a low talker-not a barker.
I would love to share the rest of my life with a retired person or couple, who maybe have grandchildren who visit once in awhile. I have a long back so I really like it when people come down to my level to pet me and give me belly rubs. =) If I'm put on furniture and left, I will jump off to go with you. I might hurt myself if I do this but I forget, so you need to remember for me. I'm a snuggler though. I LOVE to be with my people! I really want a new furever family to love and cuddle and walk with! Please consider me!
I'm all ready to be adopted. I'm up-to-date on shots, been neutered for a couple years, and have a microchip (not that I'm much of a runner, but I never want to be lost!). My chip is through AKCREUNITE.ORG. I just got groomed ! Look how handsome i am that I am now!! I like being gently brushed or scratched. It's very soothing.
I'd love to meet you, if you like long-hair Doxie mixes (and who doesn't?). If you go to www.AdorableDogRescue.org and complete and submit an Adoption Application, the people who are helping me find a new home will set up an appointment for us. They'll bring me to your home so I can meet your other pets and make sure I'll be safe there. They say I'm really cute, sweet, and very handsome, and think I'll be adopted very quickly! I can't wait! =)
