Not my favorite - Cats, dominant dogs

Hi there!  My name is Bandit!  I’m a very lucky dog because this really nice lady saved me from a local kill shelter when my time was up!!  WHEW!!  That was close…:-)  She gave me this name because of the markings on my face.  I think I’m a pretty cool looking dude, don’t you?

I'm very friendly and I love to play!  I love when my foster mom talks to me and shows me lots of attention. I do okay around children but I probably would do best with school age kids, 12 or older, because I might be too much for the smaller ones when I get excited.

My foster Mom says I’m a little bossy and I can get grumbly with the other dogs if they try to take my toys or my food.  I don't always get along with other dominant male dogs, however I enjoy playing with female and submissive male dogs. I would certainly be okay if I was an only dog and then you could give all your attention to me!  My foster mom also says I would do best in a home without cats because I really, really want to catch them and for some reason, she doesn’t think that’s a good idea!  I don’t really understand but that’s okay…I’ll just play with my toys!

I could also use some help learning how to walk better on a leash, but I am doing much better I'm told.....A no-pull leash is included in my adoption that really keeps me from pulling so much. When you leave, I will miss you, but I will be just fine in my crate.

If we could go on walks, runs or car rides, I'd be one happy dog!

So, that’s it about me….I’m really a nice dog. I just need a family that will have patience and take the time to teach me how to be a good dog!  I know I can do it….will you give me a chance?

I have been neutered, vaccinated, heart worm tested negative, and micro chipped!  If you want to meet/adopt me please fill out the application located at www.furrykidsrefuge.org/adoptadog and a dedicated volunteer will get back to you as soon as possible!
