~~~~~Bandit does not do well with male dogs~~~~~
Hi there!  My name is Bandit!  I’m a very lucky dog because this really nice lady saved me from a local kill shelter when my time was up!!  WHEW!!  That was close…:-)  She gave me this name because of the markings on my face.  I think I’m a pretty cool looking dude, don’t you?
I'm very friendly and I love to play!  I'm still very much a puppy so when I get excited I tend to jump up but I’m trying to learn not to do that. I do okay around children but I probably would do best with school age kids, 12 or older, because I might be too much for the smaller ones when I get excited.
My foster Mom says I’m a little bossy and I can get grumbly with the other dogs if they try to take my toys or my food.  I like to be 'the leader of the pack' and don't care much for other boy dogs, but would do fine in a home with a non-dominant female. I play with the other dogs but I would be okay if I was an only dog and then you could give all your attention to me!  My foster mom also says I would do best in a home without cats because I really, really want to catch them and for some reason, she doesn’t think that’s a good idea!  I don’t really understand but that’s okay…I’ll just play with my toys!
I could also use some help learning how to walk better on a leash.  I tend to get excited and pull …I’m very strong.  :-)  ....A no-pull leash is included in my adoption that really keeps me from pulling so much.Also, I'm not completely housebroken yet, so I will need some time and patience to conquer that skill.  But I'm pretty smart, so it shouldn't take any time at all!!
So, that’s it about me….I’m really a nice dog I just need a family that will have patience and take the time to teach me how to be a good dog!  I know I can do it….will you give me a chance?
I have been neutered, vaccinated, heart worm tested negative, and micro chipped!  If you want to meet/adopt me please fill out the application located at www.furrykidsrefuge.org/adoptadog and a dedicated volunteer will get back to you as soon as possible!
