My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Let me introduce Korby to you. He appears to be a Flat-coated Retriever with a beautiful, dark, wavy coat.
Here are the basics: He's young, about a year old, and full grown. He's a slender 45 pounds and does not have heart worms or any other health problems. He knows sit and shake and we're working on stay. He's young and distractible stay is a little challenging. He loves to fetch and will bring it back to you if there's not too much going on around him.

Personality-wise, he's a happy, active boy, but not too much. He's not afraid of strangers but will let you know when he hears something. He likes to run and wrestle with my other dogs. Yet, he was great around all children that came by for Halloween. He'll need a fence and someone who wants to play and/or exercise with him, or even better, someone with another active pooch. He won't be happy as just a couch-potato until he's a little older. For more info or to schedule a meet and greet, call or text 225-964-0886

You might also be able to catch Korby at our Dog Adoption House at 8476 Highland Rd! The hours are M-F: 11:30-5pm / Sat & Sun: 11-3pm! However, be sure contact Korby's foster home first at to make they will be there on that day.
