Hemi's Info...

I am already neutered, a special needs pet, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, and good with cats.

Hemi's Story...
Hemi is an adorable kitten that was rescued as an orphan. This boy is an absolute love and adores everyone. He is fabulous with other cats and loves when people hold him and cuddle him. He is a bit of a goofball and can not resist running water! He has been known to jump in the shower while you are still in it. Toilet lids must be left down or else he'll jump in. He is a little special and requires extra care but he is totally worth it!

****Hemi needs an experienced adopter. He currently has an intrahepatic liver shunt that is being well-controlled by a prescription low-protein diet and medication. He MUST stay on this or else he will have seizures. He still has some bad days where he doesn't feel too good.****

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hemi, a Chicago Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
