Tilly's Story...
Hi there. My name is Tilly and I am thought to be approximately 8 months old (as of October 1, 2015). I am a female Basset Hound/Beagle mix girl and I love to run and play with other dogs. I was found wandering along a road and taken in by Animal Control. When no one came forward to claim me I was brought to Gail's Pets.

I am looking for a forever home and I hope that is with you. I am super friendly, love going for walks, and would love to have kids to play with.

Tilly resides at a rescue organization in Arkansas. Please contact Gail Ross at 870-431-8229, or via email at gailspets@hotmail.com to discuss this dog. You can find our adoption application by going to www.Gailspets.org and clicking on the Adoption Application tab. The application, when completed and submitted, will be electronically sent to Gail’s email address.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tilly, a Oakland Basset Hound/Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound/Beagle for sale in Oakland, or seeking a Basset Hound/Beagle dog from a breeder in Oakland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oakland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oakland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound/Beagle breeders who help with Basset Hound/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oakland paves the way for another one to be saved.
