Here's what the humans have to say about me:
All he ever dreamed of was his own family to welcome him home.
Poor Luke! Abandoned in the country, homeless, starving, he needed his dreams. He survived harrowing conditions with the dream of a family stored like nuggets of coal against the winter. But his family never materialized to welcome him in from the cold.
Now Luke finally has a real chance to find the family he longs for. A kind woman captured him when the danger grew too great in his rural community-- a man was trapping the cats and threatening to shoot them in the traps. Luke is in foster care now and fully adjusted to indoor life. He loves to play and snuggle, and he washes his foster friends after he chases their tails.
Luke is a very healthy boy but tests positive for FIV as a result of fighting and mating. He has been neutered now, so those behaviors are gone. Since FIV is passed only through deep bites, and Luke is more a lover than a fighter, he can live safely with other non-aggressive cats.
Even now that he is safe, Luke dreams that you will come meet him and take him home to love him for the rest of his life. He has survived so much hardship and privation-- won't you make his dreams finally come true?
