****The website is updated several times daily. Please do not email to ask if there are still dogs/puppies available.****

YOU WILL FIND THE ANSWER TO ALL BASIC QUESTIONS BELOW. Please read carefully Before emailing.

*Manfred the Mammoth, aka Manny, is a Gorgeous 1 year old GSD. He is a great big boy weighing 108 pounds, with still some filling in to do.

*Manny is a big goofy puppy who is getting settled in to foster care. He is doing great with crate and house training, and seems to have been a house dog previously. Manny is learning to walk nicely on a leash and some basic obedience commands. He would do great for a home who understands training or would like to attend some training classes.

*We are still learning about Manny as he is new to rescue. Manny is neutered and current on his vet cares. At this time we recommend a home with no cats.

*We do not hold or reserve dogs. We do not ship or fly. Prospective families must come to NORTHFIELD MN to meet. We do not hold adoption events or meet in the Twin Cities*

*Emails are answered in the order they are received. We are receiving a large number of emails, so answering promptly is our goal. If you are interested in adoption, your prompt responses are the best way to get through the adoption screening*

If you have read this far, you are ready to start the adoption process! Please email for the next step, which is a short email interview to get started.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Manfred, a Minneapolis German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Minneapolis, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Minneapolis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Minneapolis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Minneapolis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Minneapolis paves the way for another one to be saved.
