Dr Dimples's Story...
Hi... I know everyone could use a Buddy... lucky for you, you could end up with me!
I ended up with the nice folks at Cape Ann Animal Aid when my people moved away and just left me and my friend Lilly behind.
I know... pretty crummy, but my faith in the human race was restored by a nice person who rescued us and brought us here after going through the proper channels.
So, a little more about us. We are about 2 years old (we lost my day planner when our people moved, so we are not exactly sure of our birthdates), litterbox trained, and just in love with pets, treats and getting groomed... We do not have to be placed together.

Before making the trip to visit the shelter we strongly recommend checking our website for information on adoption policies and procedures. Please understand that because we are a busy place and because so many animals need our care and attention, adoptions are on a first come basis and no animal will be put on hold. To inquire about a pet's availability or for more information, we encourage you to visit our shelter in person. Due to the high volume of interest, email and phone inquiries may not be returned on a daily basis. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to your visit! 978-283-6055 ex 10 for reception desk

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dr Dimples, a Gloucester Burmese cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Burmese for sale in Gloucester, or seeking a Burmese cat from a breeder in Gloucester.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gloucester already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gloucester breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Burmese breeders who help with Burmese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gloucester paves the way for another one to be saved.
