Janie's Story...
Five of these babies were dropped off at our vet's office like trash. The ladies at the office contacted us for help. A few days later- a foster stepped forward and we were able to bring all five into our program. They were only 6 weeks old when they were dumped. They were completely emaciated and their already fragile bodies were riddled with ring worm. Now they are about 12 weeks old, happy, healthy, and ready for their forever homes. They are being fostered with each other, 3 older dogs and 3 children. They are calm and easy puppies and would make a wonderful addition to any family. The Compton crew is up to date on heartworm prevention and being fostered in the Memphis, Tennessee area. Transport to New England and Midwest areas is available upon adoption. Adoption fees are $500 and include up to date vaccinations, rabies vaccine, microchip, spay/neuter, fecal exam/deworming, and transport from Memphis to your area with the help of a professional dog transport company. Please email us at wilsonanimalrescue@yahoo.com for an application on one of these beautiful puppies!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Janie, a Brattleboro Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Brattleboro, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Brattleboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brattleboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brattleboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brattleboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
