Facts about Ice Cream

  • Breed: Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/American Bulldog Mix
  • Color: Brown/Chocolate - With White
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Male
Ice Cream was found in a gas station parking lot at a busy intersection, where the attendant confirmed he had been dumped the prior day. Despite this traumatic event, Ice Cream adores people and loves to be petted and snuggled -- he even gave our shelter manager a big kiss when he met her! Ice Cream is comfortable being picked up, walked on a leash, and didn’t even mind receiving an injection and oral medication. Ice Cream does very well with other dogs, and tends to be submissive. He stays close to people near him, and seems to crave human companionship and attention.
With distinctive markings, and bright green-gold eyes, Ice Cream is a real stunner! He is about 40 pounds, and seems to be a young adult, with many years of love, play, and fun to come!
Unfortunately, our shelter is completely full, so Ice Cream only has a temporary space. We are in desperate need of foster care or a family for this sweet boy. He will make you fall in love as soon as you meet him -- won’t you give this special boy the loving home he deserves?

About Born Free Pet Shelter

About Our Shelter...

Born Free Pet Shelter is a No Kill 501(c)(3) non-profit dog rescue organization that has been helping homeless dogs since 1980. Located on a beautiful 5-acre refuge in the Redlands of South Florida, Born Free rescues dogs in distress and offers them the chance to lead happy and healthy lives.
We are currently responsible for over 160 dogs, ranging from puppies to seniors.
With the help of generous donations and the tireless efforts of our volunteers, we provide the love and care that they deserve.
Some of our dogs will live out their days at the shelter, but we have so many that would make wonderful companions if given the chance.

Our Adoption Process...

At the time of adoption it is essential that a fee be charged as it will be used to feed and maintain the animals that are housed at our shelter. The adoption fee includes DHPP vaccine, rabies vaccine, microchip and sterilization. We do a home check prior to approving any adoption.
