BIG RED's Story...
Big Red is a 2 year old, 63 lb Pit Bull that was found as a stray. After a month of looking, his owners cannot be found. He is now in a shelter and they found that this handsome boy is very people friendly, walks well on leash, rides well in a car and is well behaved. Big Red knows commands such as sit, shake hands and roll over, so we know he once belonged to someone. He seems to be housetrained because he always uses the same corner of his 10 x 10 pen for sanitary purposes, as if he knows it’s supposed to go outside but he can’t get there by himself. Big Red will do well in an active home where he can run and play and delight folks with his energy and enthusiasm for life. HHS. ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. Why Adoption is a Great Option

BIG RED, a Salem Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Salem, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Salem.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Salem already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Salem breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Salem paves the way for another one to be saved.
