Shooter, a tricolor, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel is perfect according to his foster mom. This adorable little guy was found out on a highway and his rescuer scooped him up before he was hit by a car. He did not have any identification and no one came forward to claim him. Since his rescuer had trouble keeping him in her fenced yard, as he is adept at digging out, and he apparently loves to explore, she decided she should not keep him and released him to our rescue organization. Shooter is neutered, up to date on vaccinations including bordatella for kennel cough and tested negative for heartworms. He is being kept on heartworm and flea and tick prevention to maintain his good health. Shooter does great on car rides, walks well on a leash and gets along well with other dogs. He is guesstimated to be about 1 year old and weighed 17 pounds on 10/14/15. If you would like to adopt Shooter the first step in the adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application.
You can find a copy of that application here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers.
