GrandPaw- Ohio's Story...
Paw Paw is a Pointer or Pointer/GSP mix whose life was in danger in an over crowded shelter in Alabama. He is an older fella and may have suffered some neglect as he is so thin. His preliminary blood work showed he was fighting something but is doing much better under the care of a vet. We would love to move him into foster care in Illinois. Please contact us if you can open up your home to help him out.

If you would like to help please copy and paste this link into your browser http://illinoisbirddogrescue.org/foster_app.html to submit a foster to adopt home application. We are also accepting donations for his care at href="http://helpibr.org/

If you are interested in adopting this pet through our rescue organization, please go to the http://www.illinoisbirddogrescue.org/adoption_procedure.html Adopting A Friend section to read about our pre-adoption policies and vetting protocols.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

GrandPaw- Ohio, a Wood Dale English Pointer/German Shorthaired Pointer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a English Pointer/German Shorthaired Pointer for sale in Wood Dale, or seeking a English Pointer/German Shorthaired Pointer dog from a breeder in Wood Dale.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wood Dale already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wood Dale breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even English Pointer/German Shorthaired Pointer breeders who help with English Pointer/German Shorthaired Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wood Dale paves the way for another one to be saved.
