He is shy, and somewhat frightened of strangers, but once he knows you, he will love you. Mac loves other small dogs! He especially loves his foster brother who did not know how to play until he met Mac. Mac's ideal forever home would include a doggie sibling, but he does love his people and might enjoy being an only dog. He is not good with cats, and has not been around children, but would most likely be fine with older children.
Grateful Dogs Rescue incurs substantial medical and other costs in rescuing our dogs. In order to recoup some of these costs, we must charge an adoption fee. The adoption fee for Mac is $200.
If you are interested in adopting Mac, please complete our online application at http://www.gratefuldogsrescue.org/adoption-process.html (copy and paste the URL into your browser). One of our volunteers will get back to you. Adoptions are local, confined to the SF Bay Area.

NOTE: Some shelters have physical locations you can visit; some of these shelters may only have pets for a limited time, so please do not wait for a reply—just go visit the shelter! Other organizations are rescue groups run by busy volunteers who may take a while to reply.
