Jilly's Story...
Jilly is a 10-11 week old pit bull puppy. She is almost house broken, is crate trained, and is learning to walk on a leash. She is a wiggle butt and never meets a stranger. She is going to be a medium size girl, maybe not huge but stocky. She was pulled from the Macon shelter with rickets, but is on daily calcium and good food and we can see an improvement in the few weeks we have had her in the rescue. She will grow out of it as she gets older. She gives lots of love and likes being held, but also likes to play with the other dogs at her foster's house. Wouldn't you love to make Jilly a part of your family.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jilly, a Macon Pit Bull Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Macon, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier puppy from a breeder in Macon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Macon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Macon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Macon paves the way for another one to be saved.
