My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

CHINA adores her humans - she does the uber excited-wag-a-butt wiggle-dance and the snuggle-lean. She is also quite trainable and has learned "sit" "down" and "touch". She is very outdoor-potty trained and doesn't mind getting back in her crate during the work day. She also is properly socialized with other dogs and has shown only positive affection and play. Even her foster mom's "unfriendly" dog seemed to like her. She is respectful of space and permits LOTS of sniffing without a care. She learned how to go up and down wood stairs, and LOVED bathtime ----particularly chomping and gulping the sprayed water. We bet she would be a swimmer. She seems to have a chill nature underneath all that initial excitement. She isn't a great leash walker, but with a weighted backpack and on the second time around next to another dog, she did relax a bit (her foster mom definitely got a workout!). We think with time she will improve. Her foster mom likes call her Rocket Dog or "Mrs. Yoda" because of her giant ears! They are the cutest! She loves a car ride and head scratches. We think she would be good with kids, although she might knock down a smaller one. Adoption fee $150. For an application or information, please call/text 303-882-0837 or email dancingdogrescue@earthlink.net. Update 2/14/2016: China's Colorado foster mom reports that she is attentive, sweet, compliant and even mellow at times. She is a girl that needs lots of attention from her humans and lots of exercise. China can be reactive on leash with other dogs, so that is something that we'll be working on with her. NEW FOSTER HOME NEEDED BY 2/20/2016.
