Plenty of my friends are looking

Governor's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Governor's Story...
Governor is a 1 year old large mix. He lived his first year on a chain with little socialization or human interaction. He loves kids, is good with other dogs, but should be in a home without cats or other small animals. He is very smart and eager to please, knows sit and down, but still needs some work on his manners. He is a big chicken, and still building his confidence, but he responds well to positive reinforcement. Governor would does need a secure fenced in yard, and someone that will spend time playing with him and taking him for walks. He is up to date on vaccines, neutered, microchipped and on monthly heartworm prevention.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Governor, a Lima St. Bernard/Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a St. Bernard/Border Collie for sale in Lima, or seeking a St. Bernard/Border Collie dog from a breeder in Lima.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lima already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lima breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even St. Bernard/Border Collie breeders who help with St. Bernard/Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lima paves the way for another one to be saved.
