Mac is a very special guy...he has been with us for a while getting the love, confidence and training he so needed. Mac came from the Carson Shelter, he was petrified and had zero chance of making it out, but we saw something in him and gave him a chance. Mac isn't an easy placement, he will need an experienced owner, one who understands a dog who is afraid of new people.
Once Mac knows you and bonds with you he will love you forever, he has a few volunteers he adores and they feel the same about him. Mac has been working with Sadot of Elite K9 Academy and he has made so much progress, but he will still need time, patience, understanding and the right adopter. Mac is house trained, great with puppies, female dogs and dogs smaller than him, he is very playful. We know that person is out there and they will fall in love with Mac just like we did. Please help us make Mac's holiday wish come true!

In the Beginning: Mac is a Carson Shelter Survivor…he was scared to death at the shelter. Once we got him out he was so much better and now he is starting to decompress and realize he is safe! Mac needs to find his forever home or even a foster who will love him and give him the attention he needs.
Mac is unsure of new things, but adapts quickly. He can be a little fearful of new people, but does great when he gets to know you. He rides well in the car, appears to be house and crate trained. He is good with other dogs, but we do not know about cats. Mac is also good on a leash.
