Luke's Story...
Name: Luke
Breed: Lab mix
Age: Adult
Gender: Male

Luke is an adult male Lab mix with a funny quirked tail nobody can explain, and a stoic, serious, mellow personality. He loses the serious side when his foster sister, another female Lab mix, engages him in play and then plays like a puppy. It's adorable. He is more on the quiet and mellow side, walks politely on the leash and is house trained/not a chewer. Luke has had a fenced yard since coming to rescue so we truly don't know how he'd without one, and would be happiest in a home with another dog to help him rediscover his puppy side. He was polite with the visiting kids but seems happier with an adult/teenage home.  Luke is very affectionate and very loving.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Luke, a Minneapolis Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Minneapolis, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Minneapolis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Minneapolis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Minneapolis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Minneapolis paves the way for another one to be saved.
