My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello. My name is Harley. I'm an 11 month old Rottweiler. I currently weigh 83 lbs with a BCS 3/9 (as of 10/21/15). I I only weighed 70.3 lbs when I came in.
I came in to the pound a few days after being hit by a car. My care taker refused to get me medical attention. I was emaciated and very, very sore. Thankfully I didn't have any broken bones but I was pretty sore. Between being hit by the car and being so skinny, I could barely get up or walk but after I got some food and some pain medications in me, I felt a lot better in just a few days and I was walking around and doing great.
I have been here since the end of September and I am doing well now!! I am putting on weight and I am just SO happy all the time.
I am such a very super sweet and loving dog despite everything I have been through in my life. My old care takers have been charged with neglect numerous times, but every time the probation is up, they get new dogs and just do the same thing over again. I am so forgiving though. I have no grudges against people and only want love and affection.
I get along well with other dogs. I am a typical young, happy, playful boy.
My only down fall is that I do not want to share my food so I need fed away from other dogs and any children that may bother me while I'm eating.
I will need to be placed in a Rottweiler savvy home just because the pound feels I need to be placed in a home familiar with the Rottweiler breed.
If you're looking for a sweet Rottie boy to add to your family, please consider adopting me.

**UPDATE** I was adopted for a short time, but was sadly returned because I get too mouthy when I play and they feared that I would hurt a kid. I need a new family that has the time and patience to train and work with me. I am really a nice, wonderful boy. I just need to learn what I am not allowed to do.

I appear to be in good health. I have been given my Parvo/ Distemper vaccine and I have been dewormed with panacur dewormer.

PLEASE CONSIDER THIS DOG, AS WELL AS ALL THE OTHER DOGS AT OUR SHELTER AS URGENT. OUR KENNEL SPACE HERE AT THE POUND IS VERY LIMITED. THIS DOG COULD BE EUTHANIZED WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE ANY TIME AFTER SEPTEMBER 24, 2015.
HERE AT THE COLUMBIANA COUNTY DOG POUND, WE TRY VERY HARD TO PLACE ALL OF OUR ADOPTABLE DOGS IN TO LOVING HOMES OR SEND THEM TO GREAT, APPROVED RESCUE GROUPS, HOWEVER, WE CAN ONLY KEEP OUR DOGS HERE AT THE POUND AS LONG AS SPACE ALLOWS.

MY ADOPTION FEE IS $110 CASH, WHICH COVERS MY NEUTER SURGERY (WHICH MUST BE DONE PRIOR TO ME LEAVING THE SHELTER), MY PARVO/DISTEMPER VACCINE, RABIES VACCINE, DEWORMING AND MY CURRENT OHIO DOG LICENSE WHICH WILL BE HONORED THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF OHIO.

THE POUND IS OPEN MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY FROM 8 AM- 4 PM AND SATURDAY FROM 9 AM- 12 PM. WE ARE CLOSED SUNDAYS AND HOLIDAYS.
