My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Darby is an adorable little beagle girl. She is a beautiful classic tri color, 13 inches tall and weighs just 20 pounds. She is a young dog, probably less than 18 months old. This little darling was found in the national forest area of northeast Texas by a kind woman who just could not imagine leaving this little sprite out in the cruel world all alone. She contacted our organization and of course we agreed to take her into our group.

At first Darby was a bit timid and not quite sure about all the activity in her foster home, but within a few days she decided she liked the beagle buddies, the leash walks, the comfy dog beds and especially the treats! She is now crate-trained, house-trained, and has learned to use the doggie door. She has been vaccinated, microchipped, spayed, and good news -- she tested heartworm negative! Although it appears that she recently had a litter of pups at her young age, she is still very much a puppy herself. She plays with the dog toys, shaking and squeaking them gleefully, and has the sweetest little bounce when she walks. So cute!
