Here's what the humans have to say about me:
RUHLA is a 5 year old Labrador Retriever/German Shepherd mix weighing in at 50 pounds currently. She was the saddest girl when she came in - she had lost her puppies. After a few days, she came around and was SO DARNED SWEET! Her foster mom in Texas reports that she was very timid at first and took a couple of days to warm up. Ruhla loves to cuddle with her humans and loves to be scratched, especially around her head, face, neck and tummy. If she hasn't gotten enough scratches, she will grab your hand to let you know. Ruhla loves good food. If you will regularly stock some turkey hot dogs, she will be yours forever. She is housetrained and knows basic commands (sit, come, no), but does not like being crated at all (she can bark for hours, but is great outside or with a dog door). Ruhla is great on leash and even better off and rides in the car well as long as she can touch you (that was fun going 80 mph with her trying to get in my lap). She came in positive for Demodex mange, but her hair is coming in wonderfully well. The summary from her Texas foster mom: "She is just a really good, quiet, sweet dog and I am going to miss her terribly." Her Colorado foster mom is also in love with her. Ruhla is spayed, current on shots, chipped and being treated for heartworms, which the rescue will continue to sponsor. Adoption fee $150. She would get out and just hang out on the front porch, but the neighbors complained. :(
