Magnum's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, and up to date with shots.

Magnum's Story...
Magnum is a very loyal dog who enjoys your company. He is gentle and very polite when approaching you. He is happy to be next to you wherever you are. He likes car rides, walking in the woods, playing with other female dogs, and a treat every now and then.

Magnum has some very puppy like behaviors still. He is very cautious of new sounds or things that he doesn't recognize. He does not walk well in neighborhoods. He will tense up, his tail will tuck and he will refuse to even walk at times. Take him into the woods and he is great- watch the squirrels though. He is very sure they should not be here and would like to rid the world of them. ;)

He also takes guarding your home very serious. He does not like new people coming into 'his' home. This includes your children's friends and because of this we are looking for a home with no children. He would be happiest in a home with low traffic where he can hang out with his people. He wouldn't mind a sister dog to play with or walks away from the busyness of life.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Magnum, a Davison Akita dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Akita for sale in Davison, or seeking a Akita dog from a breeder in Davison.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Davison already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Davison breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Akita breeders who help with Akita rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Davison paves the way for another one to be saved.
