My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet ZANDER! He came to Thunder Puppy K9 Rehabilitation and Rehoming from Moreno Valley, California where he and his new friend ZACK were both on Death Row. Not much is known about his prior history other than he was a stray. He didn't come from the same situation as ZACK, but the two have helped each other immensely throughout their transitions.

ZANDER, we believe, is around a year old. He is tall, lean, and lanky; sweet and energetic and LOVES to play with other dogs. His favorite game is Chase and ChewYerLeg. (if you're a dog). He has a habit of "sampling" things that aren't necessarily food- a watchful eye and dog proof environment are a must.

Since he's relatively new here and we wanted him to be comfortable first, we are just getting started with some of his basic training Both of these sweethearts are sort of a blank slates. We don't believe he's spent that much time in the house- he's VERY curious about everything- so we began, have made good progress with, crate training and walking politely on a loose leash. The great news is, he too, is highly teachable.

ZANDER is going to want a home or family with a friendly playful other dog,(or two) and active and patient humans. He also will require a large, closed in and safe yard. He would probably make a great running partner.
