Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Rocky is in foster care in rural East Tennessee and will be transported upon adoption. We use Alpha Dog Transport. They have stops in PA, NJ, CT, VT, ME. They charge $140 for their services and hand off all vet paperwork when your dog is claimed. An adoption fee of $300 will also apply.
Rocky was relinquished to our rescue because his owner is in hospice and can no longer care for him.
He is 6 yrs. old and has food allergies so must be on a grain free diet. He is UTD on shots, including a dog flu vaccination and is neutered. He loves to play with a squeaky ball or toy. He bonds quickly and will sleep by your side if watching TV and he loves sleeping in bed at your feet. Rocky is a "people person" and enjoys being talked to and wags his tail in response! Here is the type home that is needed. Rocky is housebroken.
Rocky must be in a home as the only dog. He is jealous of other dogs getting attention. He has always lived with an older woman so an "empty nester " home or one with older children. ( teens + ) is perfect! He is friendly and is fine with men. Unfortunately, I have no way of testing him with cats. He must have a fenced yard. Rocky does walk well on a leash, but his previous home had a fenced yard. He is nervous riding in the car because he has only been to the vet and groomer! We are trying to make the transition into his new home an easy one, thus the requirements and the urgency.
