Anyone with a tortie will tell you they're something special. Eleanor is no exception. She was rescued in Taiwan as a kitten and brought to the U.S. by a Good Samaritan. Now an indoor adult cat, she's is a delightful, whimsical girl with a great personality. She loves all people, and especially likes to cuddle with her "person". Having spent time in the shelter early on, she is accustomed to cats, but has not been around dogs.

Eleanor is in a foster home in San Francisco. She's fixed, chipped, and up-to-date on shots. Her tax-deductible adoption fee is $100. Email info@stfrancisanimal.org or call (408) 219-0752 for more information.

About St. Francis Animal Protection Society

About Our Rescue Group...

A Northern California nonprofit founded in 1971, St. Francis Animal Protection Society (SFAPS) is there for at-risk animals -- from shelter pets and strays to cat colonies and animals who need a new place to call home. We advocate, educate, and rescue.

As a community-run organization, our work is funded entirely through charitable donations. We focus on dogs and cats at highest risk, regardless of age, breed, or medical condition. And we do what it takes at all costs -- whether that means medical testing, treatment, and training or compassion, care, and companionship. Because we believe every animal deserves to live a happy, healthy life.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We don't have a physical facility -- all our adoptable animals are living the good life in foster homes with people to pamper them until they make a love connection.

Our Adoption Process...

Are you interested in making a St. Francis animal a part of the family?

Great! Submit an inquiry and we'll touch base within 24 hours to discuss your interest. If it's a good match, we'll set up a meet and greet and have you fill out an adoption application. Then, if it's love at first sight, we'll finalize the adoption with a signed agreement and adoption fee.

We may require a home check as part of the adoption process.
