LENKA's Story...
Lenka is a beautiful and curious 6 month old kitten. This fun girl came in with a worn pink collar with bell, but no ID. Bells don't really help wildlife from being caught by cats; bells sound like a lot of things in nature and wildlife doesn't know to associate the bell sound with a cat predator. Lenka came to the shelter as a lost stray on Oct. 19th - if only she had an ID or micro-chip! She is currently up to date with shots and will be spayed, combo-tested, and micro-chipped upon adoption. Lenka is in cage 695 and her ID is 579848.

When calling the shelter about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER, the names are oftentimes made up by volunteers. This beautiful pet and many others need a forever, loving home and are available for adoption from the Cobb County Animal Shelter, 1060 Al Bishop Drive Marietta, Georgia 30008, call (770) 499-4136 for more information. Why Adoption is a Great Option

LENKA, a Marietta Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
