My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Autumn is a five year old, 44 pound pittie mix who is looking for a cozy home to call her own. Autumn loves the company of people of all ages. From the five month old baby in her foster home, to teens and adults, Autumn just wants be near her people-and for the first few days in your home she will be your shadow, to ensure she's never not by your side. Autumn enjoys car rides, she likes to put her head out of the window and take in the fresh autumn air. She is a quick learner, and aims to please-after just three days in foster care she almost has "sit" and "paw" mastered. Autumn walks great on the leash and loves hiking, so if you are looking for a buddy to take in the fall colors with, she is your girl! Autumn also makes a great running partner. While Autumn enjoys doggie playmates of her own size she does not enjoy playing with dogs smaller than her. She is crate trained and fully house trained, and would prefer a cat-free, people filled home.

All in all, Autumn is a sweet girl who is fantastic with all people. She is an expert snuggler-if you need a sheet warmer for the increasingly chilly nights she's your girl!

Autumn is being fostered in Hopedale, MA.

Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.

We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.
