Agatha's Story...
Do you like a good mystery? Just like my namesake, Agatha Christie, I have a page turner for you! I arrived at the SPCA as a stray after being found running near the road. Now, I am ready for this mystery to come to close with the happy ending of a forever home! The autumn chill is upon us and I would really love to have a special someone to snuggle with. I'm a very loving girl who enjoys playing the role of social butterfly! If you need to smile, I will make sure to work my magic until you grin with joy! Although I am very outgoing, I can sometimes be very sensitive to loud noises. Also, I have a tendency to be protective of my food. I just don't like to share if I have something yummy! Therefore, I am recommended for homes with older children (8+). If you have other dogs at home, I would sure love to meet them before you decide to adopt. Just schedule a meet and greet with the staff once your application is approved. So, are you ready to write the ending to my story? Let's see if we are meant to live happily ever after today!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Agatha, a Harrisonburg Chihuahua/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Harrisonburg, or seeking a Chihuahua/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in Harrisonburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Harrisonburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Harrisonburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Chihuahua/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Harrisonburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
