Hello, my name is Zippy and I’m a 4 year old, 60 pound boy. Recently I was picked up by animal control when they got a call that I had been hit by a car and needed help. Well, they rushed me to a doctor and it was there that the humans learned my true story. I had not been hit by a car. I was shot with a gun by a bad person. I would have died if the good people and the doctors had not helped me, but as it is they saved my life but could not save my leg. I had to have surgery to remove my leg and now I’m recovering and learning how to do everything on three legs. The folks at the shelter knew I needed special angels to look out for me. Most shelter dogs have a hard enough time getting adopted and those with special needs like me don’t stand a chance. They called AGB and this nice girl and her Daddy came to get me. I liked them a lot and I wanted to just sit in that girl’s lap and be loved on forever! She told me she would eventually need her lap back, but she also stroked my fur, hugged me and told me what a good, sweet boy I am. She made me a promise that AGB would find a family for me who would love and protect me forever and never let me be hurt again. I believe her and I can’t wait for that promise to come true! I’m doing my best to get well and be the happy, loving, boy I have always been. I know if you give me a chance, I can be a good and loyal member of your family. So what do you say?
