Tia's Story...
Tia is a stunning 10 month old Akita/German Shepherd puppy with a sweet nature and a timid disposition. She came to ACL from a rural shelter in Arkansas where she had been found as a stray. Tia has been in a foster home, playing like crazy with her canine foster brother and learning that life as a pet is a wonderful thing! Tia is working on housebreaking, and she just adores going for walks. She'd be great in a home with children of all ages - she's extremely gentle and tends toward submissiveness. She'd love to have a canine brother or sister - she's never happier than when she's rolling around with another dog! This girl is going to grow up into a gorgeous, gentle girl - don't miss out on bringing her into your family!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tia, a Oak Park Akita/German Shepherd Dog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Akita/German Shepherd Dog for sale in Oak Park, or seeking a Akita/German Shepherd Dog puppy from a breeder in Oak Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oak Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oak Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Akita/German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with Akita/German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oak Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
