Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Everyone needs a beagle named Snoopy. Snoopy is a sweet 5 year old beagle mix that was surrendered to Friendship because his owner could no longer afford to take care for him. He is a gentle pup that would love to get back into a loving home. Snoop lived with 2 other dogs and was fine with them. He's not fond of being picked up or cuddled. There was a special needs child in the family and that may be the reason why he's reluctant. It's best if kids in the family were a little older. He does not like cats. Snoopy is becoming more comfortable at the shelter each and everyday and his sweetness is shining through. Stop by and check out Snoopy.
On November 24, 2015, Snoopy was selected to be one of Friendship's Prison Dogs. He is currently undergoing training at the Grafton Correctional Institution. Prison Dogs are trained in obedience, basic commands, manners and proper leash walking. He will spend approximately 12 weeks at the prison which puts his return date probably sometime in February. Prison Dogs cannot be visited during their training. All dogs return on an individual basis.
If you are interested in adopting this prison dog, adoption applications are now being accepted. You can find an app at friendshipapl.org under ADOPT-FIND A FRIEND. Hand deliver the adoption application to Friendship or call if you live a distance away to see if you can fax one in. Please DO NOT email the app.
If you have any questions, please contact the shelter at 440-322-4321. Or email at adoptions@friendshipapl.org.
All dogs receive one or more vaccinations, a basic veterinary examination, are wormed, heartworm tested and spayed or neutered. Dogs 3 months and older are micro-chipped.
