Facts about Stan

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Brown Tabby
  • Age: Young
  • Sex: Male
  • ID#: 8945233
  • Hair: Short
FIV+

Stan was found in the cold night of winter looking for a warm loving home. He has been in foster since we found him and is a wonderful boy. He lounges between his daily sprints around the house and doesn't mind the other cats. Stand is 4yrs young, FIV+ and is looking to meet his forever best friend. FIV+ is not a death sentence, it means that he is more susceptible to colds and other conditions and can still live a long, healthy life with no health issues.  Being FIV+ he should be an indoor cat and be the only cat or with other cats that are also FIV+.  Many people adopt only FIV+ cats.   We know many indoor FIV+ cats that have never been sick.  All our cats come spayed/neutered, have their age appropriate shots, micro-chipped and dewormed/deflead.

Stan is in foster and not at the shelter.

About Ahimsa Haven Animal Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Ahimsa Haven was incorporated in 1999 as a nonprofit animal rescue group. Our mission is to find good homes for abandoned, homeless and unwanted domestic animals. Ahimsa is a term from an eastern religion that means "To do no harm, in thought or deed, to any living creature. Every penny we raise goes to the animals - no one gets a salary!

Our Adoption Process...

Puppies less than one year $300=400 depending on breed and age. Dogs less than 5 years old are $200-250. Dogs over 5 years old are $150 or less depending on age and health status. These fees include spay or neuter, vaccination against rabies, distemper, hepatitis, leptospirosis, parainfluenza, parvovirus, and bordetella. We also worm, and test for heartworm. Animal Rescue is a nonprofit organization, so your donations are tax deductible. Our adoption policies are as follows: We require a signed adoption contract, and payment of adoption fee prior to placement. Fee is refundable if the dog is returned within 30 days. We require that the dog be returned to our care, in the event the placement does not work out even if that is many years in the future.
