OK, I'll admit the shelter scene was pretty daunting for me at first. Once I determined that I could curl up in a warm kitty cave, out of all the hubbub, I gained some confidence. And I couldn't help but be a little bit interested in all the kindly folks who spoke gently to me and let me sniff their hands. Hmmm . . . soft stroking on the cheeks doesn't feel so bad . . . ooh, a little scratching around the ears . . . gee, that's nice. I'm beginning to like this! Why not come see me soon and explore the possibilities?
