Darby's Story...
Darby is a sweet, sensitive tiny two year old chihuahua. Found as a stray, he is adapting well to his foster environment. Darby is living with three other chi and has been respectful about learning his place in the pack. He wants to please and comes readily when called. Due to his sensitive nature and small size, Darby should be placed in a home where he is not left alone for long periods of time. A retired person would be ideal for him. As Darby is young he will need a home whereby he can get sufficient exercise and stimulus. Due to his small size, he should not be placed with small children nor large dogs. With love and patience this little boy will blossom into a loyal and fun best friend. All he needs is someone to give him a chance. If you are that someone, please fill out a statement of interest at

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Darby, a Bellingham Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Bellingham, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Bellingham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellingham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellingham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellingham paves the way for another one to be saved.
