Facts about Ginger Lee

  • Breed: Shar Pei
  • Color: White
  • Age: Senior
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Female
Ginger Lee is a quiet, 35 lb. cream-colored senior shar-pei who is looking for a nice home where she can hang out and rest for her remaining years. She is considered "Special Needs" because she has deformed paws, thought to be a congenital defect. However, she is able to move around quite well- even climb steps with a little assistance- so she has managed her situation now for many years. She is also housetrained, crate trained, and remarkably easy to take care of...nothing special required of you, except to love and accept her the way she is. She's unsure of new people initially, but warms up quickly. Won't you open your heart and home to this sweet girl? She deserves to live out her years with someone who can accept her "imperfections". If you are interested in giving Ginger Lee a home to call her own, please fill out an adoption application at our site at She is being fostered in VT.

About Peis & Strays - VT

About Our Rescue Group...

Peis and Strays is a non-profit all-volunteer organization. It was established by a small group of individuals in the New England area with the intent of helping Chinese Shar Pei find loving homes.

Peis and Strays relies on donations, fund-raising activities and adoption fees for its income. We do not receive any state or federal funds. All donations directly benefit the dogs in our adoption program. We are a 501c3 organization, so your donations are tax deductible. We are always in need of donations and committed volunteers like ourselves. For more information about us, please email us at:

Come Meet Our Pets...

We do not have a shelter in any specific location, all of our dogs are cared for by foster families in their homes, across New England. Since the dogs are all cared for by private foster families, we ask that the adopter fill out an application before they meet a dog, to show that they are truly interested in adopting.

Our Adoption Process...

Our adoption process includes an application (, a home visit and the vet reference. Further information about our adoption policies are located at:
