Facts about Asa

  • Breed: Labrador Retriever Mix
  • Color: Black - With White
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
  • Sex: Male
  • ID#: 9318083-Asa

Asa is a very handsome, sweet boy with a gentle soul.  He's a happy guy and is always with his beautiful "girlfriend" Shelby.  Asa and Shelby have been together for four years now and are SoCo's "cutest couple". Asa is very loyal to Shelby and lets her do whatever she wants.  Asa is great with people and other dogs.  He's an easy going guy and follows Shelby around wherever she goes.  With Asa's submissive nature and Shelby being more on the dominant side, they are perfect together.

He is current on his vaccinations and he is neutered.  SoCo has watched a true connection and a heartwarming bond form between Asa & Shelby.  There are a pictures included of both of them together in each of their profiles.  Considering the closeness they share, we'd love to see Asa & Shelby adopted together.  They truly love each other.  If you have room in your heart to give Asa and Shelby a home, please submit an application to www.socorescue.com.

About Southern Comfort Animal Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Our rescue is licensed through the State Dept. of Agriculture, with regular inspections being made by them. We are in no way a "puppy mill", rather we take in the stray, abandoned and sick/injured pets and get them back to adoptable status.
We are a non-profit 501(c)3 organization and do accept and survive on donations from adopters and/or the general public.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We do not have a facility that has set hours of operations. This is not a problem for our adopters because it allows us to meet them with prospective pets in many locations - most are much closer to where they live. We travel to many places in Georgia so if you see someone you like, let us know and we'll see if we can meet you somewhere relatively close by.

Our Adoption Process...

We have a simple process to follow in adopting an animal from us: fill out an application, wait a few days and pay our fee when everything is approved!
We have a bit more that we do. After reviewing the application we have to check references and with their vet, then we can send the pet to his new home.
