Jesse's Story...

Please, use the adoption application located at:

Jesse(dob: 08/18/13) and his half-brother Jacob(dob: 8/18/12) were rescued from a 'high-kill' Animal Control in Rutherford Co, NC. They were owner relinquished(RCAC is legally allowed to euthanize any 'owner relinquished pets upon intake', if space is an issue=RCAC is small and stays full) to Animal Control 'because they won't hunt', which is a really sad/sick reason to give up a pet, especially doubly-sweet ones like Jacob and Jesse. However, in H4S's eyes, two SWEET and handsome pups like these two are a bonus for a responsible, loving family who are looking for a friendly, warm snuggly pup to curl up with at night, someone to share life's adventures with and a companion fur-child to love UNconditionally.

Adoption fee: $195 each(includes neuter, micro-chip, current on monthly internal parasite, flea/tick and heart worm prevention, current health certificate, new Martindale collar and leash).

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jesse, a South Burlington Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in South Burlington, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in South Burlington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in South Burlington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a South Burlington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in South Burlington paves the way for another one to be saved.
