“Here I come…look out! (Screeching to a halt in front of you) Hi, my name is Boondock Bessie. I’m adorable and I know it. Excuse me for a minute, there’s a crinkle ball that needs my attention….yippie! Sorry but I really love to play and boy do I love humans! I love to climb on them, sleep on them, and play with them. My foster Mom says I have a short attention span…oh look, here comes another human now! Goody! See ya!”

You would never equate this little girl's beginning with her current personality. This poor little girl was taken in by a foster Mom’s son who lives out in Winnemucca, NV. He heard her crying, very loudly, and went outside. He found her in a pile of junk in a side yard near his rental home. She was shivering (it’s been in the 30’s, yes freezing), hungry, exhausted, and scared. This area has quite a few feral, and free roaming outside cats that have kittens, typically they have them early in the year not this late!

He took the hissy little kitten into his home, put a little heater on in the laundry room, gave her one of his plush sweat shirts and then called me. He ran out and grabbed some food, some litter and the basics. She was exhausted. She ate and slept for quite a while the first couple days. After that with just a little time she became a little love bug and play monster! She now has quite a belly from eating! He took care of her for two weeks and then brought her to PPCR so she could be checked out and then a loving forever home could be found for her.

When all is said and done this little girl has an amazing zest for life! She is already running up and down the hall. She will arch her back and jump sideways…at nothing and then start running again! Her coat is full, fluffy and soft. It will probably be medium length. Her coloring and markings are very striking. She has some bright orange splotches and black spots. She is definitely unique! It seems that she could have some Bengal and Red Maine Coon in her background, anything is possible!

Bessie is going to be a big girl when she grows up! Her build is bulky and solid even now. She is healthy, adorable and purrs at the drop of a hat! We have made her an honorary “B” baby and called her Boondocks Bessie, ‘cause Winnemucca is a small town! She is currently working on integrating with the rest of the “B” kittens in Reno and it’s moving along quickly! She will talk to us if we don’t pay enough attention to her and she enjoys interacting with people. A family member visited recently, as did a longtime family friend, and she showed no concern whatsoever about meeting new people. She already shows very few signs of living the feral life.

She loves to play and likes to be held. She still startles a bit if she does not see you but this little girl is very sweet, loving and would make someone a wonderful loving companion.
This little girl would love a playmate, either a step sibling or a gentle companion. Are you looking for a little darling that loves to play and appreciates us humans? You have found her
.
Boondock Bessie will come to you spayed, tested, wormed, microchipped and vaccinated. She is litterbox perfect. She will be available around November 20th.

She is fostered in Reno, NV.
