Camilla's Story...
Camilla is a sweet, playful, one-year-old cutie! Rescued as a stray, she was quite shy initially, but has really come out of her shell. She is now affectionate and enjoys playing with a variety of toys and other friendly felines. She is also fond of soaking up the sun, a soft window seat, feather toys, catnip, patient humans, and, of course, her best friend Marcus. These two buddies are often found snuggling or running around together. They would love to be adopted together!
She is at the rescue
Thank you for your interest in providing a forever home for an animal who needs your love! Adult cats are $50, this includes spay or neuter, rabies shot (if over 4 months), FVRCP (distemper), worming, flea treatment, FIV/FeLV testing, and microchip( lifetime, No fees). Kittens (6 months and under) are $70 or 2 for $100. (UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED)

If the cat is at the rescue, email to set up an appointment. We are available most times but do have adoption events, vet appointments and kitty errands to run.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Camilla, a Colfax Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Colfax, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Colfax.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Colfax already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Colfax breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Colfax paves the way for another one to be saved.
