Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Janis is a very special girl. She came to rescue after having a very bad start to her young life. This has left her very afraid of people. It takes her a long time to trust new people and even then she rarely seeks out affection. Despite that, she is a smart and sweet girl that loves other dogs and cats. She does like a good scratch and belly rub once you can get close to her. She is very quiet and often lazy, not your typical pitty puppy at all! Her front legs were bowed when she came to us, and they have straightened out great with lots of good food and play, but she still walks a little stiff legged in the front. Janis will need a special family that has lots of patience and can gently get her to trust them, realizing that she may never be a bouncy happy dog when they are around. She is potty trained and crate trained to sleep at night.
