ROX's Story...
Rox is ready for your love!

Rox is approximately eight years old and was rescued from a backyard where his owners either passed away or became to ill to care from him. When he came to ABTR he was all skin and bones and had every worm and flea you can imagine. He was also positive for heartworm disease. Over the past 6 months he's undergone heartworm treatment and has regained his health. He does have a leaky mitral valve in his heart from heartworm disease but currently he is not requiring any treatments or modifications in his activity.

Even though he has been through a lot, Rox is the sweetest dog you can imagine. He is the ultimate lap dog and loves to just sit on the couch, snuggle, and shower you with an unlimited supply of doggie kisses. Rox loves to go on short walks and does an adorable little dance for car rides and meal times. His foster family has been working on daily manners and crate training. He is not a fan of being crated and does best when he is given a crate that fits his size rather than a large one where he can move around.

Rox is: netured, up to date on his vetting, completed heartworm treatment and remains on monthly heartworm preventative. Let this little guy show you how much love he has to give!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

ROX, a Courtland Boston Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boston Terrier for sale in Courtland, or seeking a Boston Terrier dog from a breeder in Courtland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Courtland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Courtland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boston Terrier breeders who help with Boston Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Courtland paves the way for another one to be saved.
