Facts about Tex

  • Breed: Chihuahua
  • Color: Red/Golden/Orange/Chestnut
  • Age: Young
  • Size: Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
  • Sex: Male
Hi y'all! I'm Tex and you guessed it, my heart is as big as Texas despite my 5 lb size! I am 1½ years old so I can still learn a lot. When someone walks in the door, I dance and put my front paws in the air to be picked up! With a name like Tex, you know I must be social. I like to ride in the car and I love to give kisses. I'm a big fan of snuggling and belly rubs. Great things about me include: I come when called, I really want to please, I am working on potty training. My ideal adopter would be someone that can give me love, play and snuggle time and continue to reinforce my training since I'm quite young. I am quite an adventurer, so will definitely need a SECURE FENCED YARD that will keep me from escaping. I like the full love and attention from my humans, and would do best in a home without any other animals. If there are other animals, I definitely do not get along with other male dogs, but I do quite well with quiet, non-Alpha females. Tex is up to date on all shots, heart worm negative, on heart worm preventative, microchippd, de-wormed, and neutered. Tex’s adoption fee is $300.00. WE DO NOT ACCEPT PERSONAL CHECKS. Out of state adopters are responsible for arranging transport, WE DO NOT SHIP DOGS. For events calendar and adoption application please go to our website at aaprescue.org.
